Happy Halloween From the Boyes' House!!

I don't know haw many of you know but halloween is our favorite holiday. & this year it was great! We bought several new people & had a great time decorating. We were also able to give out giant size hershey bars (which has been something we have wanted to do for a while now!)

So to introduce you to some of our new people. This is Me & Clarissa standing by the front door. All the little kids in our neighborhood we too intranced with her to notice the giant candy bar. LOL!

This is Nate & Bradley in the entry way. No one noticed him when they walked up but were freaking out as they saw him on their way out. it was really funny.

& of course we can't leave out our "bone dog" Emory. He was just guarding his hershey bar.

Oh just FYI incase you want to know. I am down 80lbs & Nate is down 140lbs. We are both feeling great!

OK we had to buy Nathan a new suit because his old one was too big.
Then I went thru my closet and found so dresses that fit and some that were too big.

new family members

We just wanted to introduce you all to our new family members

Here is a picture of us two months post op. I am 50 pounds down & Nathan is 100 pounds down. Needless to say we are very excited. So much has changed in the last two months.

OK so we decided to add some more pictures of our garden

we have onions, green beans, peas, carrots, corn, tomatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, cucumber, pumpkins, watermelon, strawberries, radish, lettuce, spinach, & jalapeno.

Date!!

It's offical we have a date for our surgery! We will be going on June 25th. Hurrah! we are so excited!

another dr visit

So we went to the Bariatrician (aka:the gate keeper) today for a follow up and clearance for our surgeries. We passed our Psych consults (so we can officially say we are NOT crazy), all of our blood work came back ok and we have all the visits necessary for insurance company. So we are very excited to announce we are cleared for surgery!!! also we found out that Nate's heart murmur the doctor originally heard is no longer there. Hurrah! We will let you all know when our surgery is as soon as we see the surgeon in a few weeks.

aliens & gardens

Well we haven't been abducted by aliens or any other crazy thing this is us in our new CPAP masks. We both have been recently diagnosed with sleep apnea. (Which is where you stop breathing while you sleep). So in order to help us maintain breathing & oxygen levels we have to wear these while we sleep.

Also I thought you all might want an up date on our garden: so here we go

Our garden

We decided this year that we wanted a "in the ground" garden. So Nathan spent the better part of two weekends getting my garden plot ready for plants. First we had to rake up all the stuff that was in the area. Then Nate tilled up the ground. Then we added top soil with miracle grow and tilled again. Then added manurer and tilled again. Finally he made my rows and we were ready to start planting!

We also found the toppsy turvys at home depot and decided to give them a try!

Doctors

We went to the doctor today in Flagstaff to talk about both of us getting gastric bypass surgery done. It was great we are hoping to get our surgeries done within the next couple of months! We are so excited! Hopefully everything will go as we have planned. Let us know what you all think.

Freida's garden

Well this year Freida, Mom & Dad are going to try to do a "Patio Garden" like I did last year. Only we realized that we needed a few tables to put their planters on.

Freida & I searched every where for some "cheap" tables...

We couldn't find any so we had this brilliant idea while we were walking through Home Depo. "We will just make our own tables." So we found a couple of table top boards, several legs and some paint and away we went.

Freida & I built the tables. Mom, Freida & I painted them lime green & decorated them. We think they turned out pretty cute!
